    Campaign for Better Transport organised this musical protest at King's Cross Station, London, on 3 January 2017 - the first day back to work for many commuters.

    The yearly fare rise had just taken effect with an average increase of 2.3%. The journey from Stevenage now works out at 27 pence per minute, similar to the cost of a premium phone line.

    Whole areas around Fleet in Hampshire have no bus service at all, so local people orgainised this rally - and 200 people came along to show that buses matter.
