The Forum was formed in 2002 to lobby for improvements for rail passengers (and potential rail passengers) primarily in the London Borough of Sutton but also recognising the needs of rail users in other areas of south London. The group has developed good working relationships with the Train Operating Companies, whose representatives regularly attend the Forum meetings that are held around four times a year and which are open to the public.
