Roads

Biggest carbon emitters

The need to reduce CO2 emissions from the transport sector is made clear when you look at the Government's road building programme. Government data show that if the proposed roads were built, there'd be hundreds of thousands of extra tonnes of CO2 pumped into the air every year. The 10 worst roads alone would add 253,235 tonnes a year.
