No Widening M1

We campaign against the widening of 190 miles of the M1 at a cost of over £5 billion. This would generate more traffic causing more CO2 emissions and air pollution.

Latest News :

19 March 2008: The Government has dropped plans for a car-share lane on the stretches of the M1 being widened between junctions 7 and 10 (St Albans to Luton).

4 March 2008: Transport secretary Ruth Kelly announced that hard shoulder running would be considered instead of widening for large sections of the M1.

19 September 2007: The group has posted a video online!
