Influence regional transport spending

Big decisions are about to be made regarding transport in your region. The Government will soon allocate millions of pounds to each region to spend on particular projects, through a process called the regional funding allocation (RFA).

The RFA could see regions choosing to spend their money on new road schemes, which would lock in carbon emissions and car dependency. But it needn’t be like that: they could choose to fund public transport schemes and even walking and cycling infrastructure. If we want to tackle climate change and have real transport choices, it's vital that we keep the road schemes out and get the greener choices in.
