There are a few main players in the bus world. You will get different things from each one.

• Your local transport authority has responsibility for public transport in the area; among other things, it creates a bus strategy within the local transport plans. The authority - both its elected officials and its staff - will probably be your main target for campaigning
• The bus companies provide the service
• The Department for Transport creates policy and provides funding
