Road building in the West Midlands

The following roads are being proposed in the region and are in the Government's road building programme.

  • A45/A46 Tollbar End West Midlands: £150 million

  • M6 J10a to J13: £316 millio

The region would also like to build the following roads, which are in local planning strategies, but which the Government hasn't agreed to fund yet.

We're working with local people to stop them getting in the roads programme.

  • Shrewsbury North West Relief Road: £85 million
  • Chester Road: £20 million
  • A449/Wobaston Road Corridor: £10 million
  • A5/A444 Redgate Junction: £11 million
