Better Transport

The following roads are being proposed in the region and are in the Government's road building programme. 

• A5 to M1 Link (Dunstable Northern Bypass): £160-218 million
• A6 - Bedford Western Bypass: £27.5 million    
• A11 Fiveways to Thetford: £106-147 million
• A13/A130 Sadlers Farm Junction Improvement: £66.7 million  
• A14 Ellington to Fen Ditton: £865 million -1.3 billion 
• Luton Town Centre Transport Scheme: £23.7 million
• M1 J10 to J13: £503-326 million

The region would also like to build the following roads, which are in local planning strategies, but which the Government hasn't agreed to fund yet.

We're working with local people to stop them getting in the roads programme.

• Norwich Northern Distributor Road: £90.7 million
• A12 Chelmsfor North-Eastern Bypass: £229-262 million
• A421 (M1 Jcn 13 - Milton Keynes): £5 million
