Better Trains for Chepstow (BT4C)

The overall objective of Better Trains for Chepstow (BT4C) is to work with Train Operating Companies, the Welsh Assembly Government, Local Government, agencies of the Department for Transport and all other stakeholders to improve services, enhance facilities and improve the usage of the station to the benefit of commuters and other rail travellers as well as in the promotion of regional business, tourism and leisure.

Currently BT4C have three primary objectives:

1. To ensure that all the Arriva CrossCountry trains stop and serve Chepstow instead of slowly passing through the town.

2. To have  the six two hour gaps in the local Arriva TrainsWales filled and provide the town with a sensible regular hourly service throughout the day.

3. To lobby for the reinstatement of FGW services connecting Severn Tunnel Junction to Bristol etc. This is an objective we share with the Severn Tunnel Action Group.
