Bettina Lange
Experience: Bettina first got involved with the Campaign for Better Transport in 1990, through the local groups in Leicestershire and then Nottinghamshire. For several yers now, she has co-ordinated the network of regional Transport Activists’ Roundtables (TARs). Regional TARs are coalitions of campaigning groups in a particular region that are interested in sustainable transport.
Why I work for the Campaign for Better Transport: "I noticed the increase in traffic in my neighbourhood and the effect it was having on the area, and realised I had to do something about it."
